About US

Hi, I’m Jonathan. I graduated with a bachelors in Film Studies and an Honors minor in Business Entrepreneurship from Queens College. I studied all aspects of producing film, learning how to efficiently tell a story through this medium and the film theories behind it. It is truly my hobby and profession and I feel is what makes Robles Productions unique.

My passion for film is a huge part of my life and most, if not all of my inspiration comes from documentaries and directors such as Edgar Wright with his creative use of montage and sound, Wes Anderson’s symmetry & cinematography, and Quentin Tarantino’s story-telling.  

As a cinema lover, I am constantly looking to improve how to translate a story with careful details through camera movements, lighting, color, and sound.

I am not limited to location but currently provide work for clients in New York City, Long Island, California and I am working locally within Mount Desert Island, Maine. My services include: directing, videography, photography, and video/photo editing with color correction & grading for marketing or creative projects. I studied and currently work in the Adobe Creative Suite as well as DaVinci Resolve and have some experience in Avid and Final Cut Pro.

My love for photography started when I was about 8 years old and my mom bought me a few disposable film cameras to play around with. I took them with me everywhere I could, family parties, vacations, trips to the zoo. It quickly became a fun way for me to document all the different memories of my life and the excitement of seeing my photos developed, not knowing how it was going to be captured was something I will never forget.

As I grew older my love for many things blossomed and paved my way in life including my passion for education and my relationship with my lovely fiance. I am so lucky to be enjoying both passions in my life with my most favorite people.
